Berea, June 28 — At least 18 participants from Mamathe Community High School and Assumption High school have completed the two days Lesotho Cricket Association (LCA) Introduction Course staged at Mamathe High School on Friday.
When approached for a comment, LCA Development Officer Mr. Atanase Mohapi said the purpose of the training was to introduce teachers and students to cricket as a sporting code.
Mr. Mohapi said the key focus was to equip participants with some basic skills on how the sport is played, how to hold a cricket bet and how to bowl.
He pointed out that going forward, with the knowledge gained teachers will be in the good position to transfer such skill to the students, adding that they are already organizing a tournament with the aim to test their skills. . .
