Quthing, Sept. 02 – At least 46 women from different government and non-governmental institutions in in Quthing district were awarded certificate at the district women appreciation award held at in Quthing on Saturday.
Speaking at the same event of the first of its kind in the district organized by the District Child Protection Team (DCPT) the Quthing District Administrator Mrs. Mapeseka K’hesa said women are key to sustainable development of quality of life in the family thus they deserve awards for appreciation of good work for the benefit of the community from family level.
Mrs. K’hesa said women have special powers from God to give life, pray for their families and sacrifice their lives for the benefit of various community groups, adding that women are the backbones of families and communities by provision of care, support and nurturing are essential to development of children.
