DJIBOUTI GETS AFRICAN UNION COMMISSION CHAIRMANSHIP

Maseru, Feb.15 — Djibouti’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf has been elected as the new African Union Commission chairperson in Addis Ababa.

He has defeated other contenders like former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga and former Minister of Foreign Affairs in Madagascar Richard Randriamandrato.

The seasoned diplomat has vowed to drive transformation and ensure that Africa is placed on the African agenda. . .
