Maseru, Sept. 20– The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) has issued an urgent warning as snowfall began in the highland last night.
Mokhotlong and Qacha’s Nek are currently experiencing snowfall, and authorities are urging the public to avoid unnecessary travel to these areas to prevent accidents due to hazardous road conditions.
Speaking to the media, DMA Senior Reporter Mrs. Mahlape Koali highlighted the dangers posed by the sudden change in weather. “We strongly advise the public to refrain from driving to the highlands, as the snow has made road conditions extremely dangerous,” she said. . .
