EARLY CHILDHOOD MOMENTS MATTERS – MOFOKENG

Berea, July 19 — The first 1000 days of human life are the most important as they shape a child’s future and there is a need to be sensitive about this period as early childhood moments matters.

This was said by Network of Early Childhood Development of Lesotho (NECDOL) Coordinator Ms. Shoeshoe Mofokeng at one day training on Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) and Nurturing Care Framework held for District Child Protection Team (DCPT) on Tuesday.

Ms. Mofokeng said Nurturing Care Framework is an initiative that came post realisation that children aged zero to three years are more vulnerable as there were no interventions to support their growth highlighting that it is crucial stage of brain development hence the need for ECCD. . . .
