Maseru, Mar. 07 — Following its successful conferences in different countries, East Central and Southern Africa College of Nursing and Midwifery (ECSACONM) is to host its first conference in Lesotho on September, 11th to 13th.
In an interview conducted with the Agency on Friday, the National Representative of ECSACONM Lesotho Mr. Mpho Shelile stated that the work of ECSACOM is to enhance midwifery teaching and clinical practices of midwifery, research within the nursing profession and management of nursing in general.
He indicated that ECSACONM helps in strengthening the work forces of nurses and midwives so that at the end of the day they can provide all the necessary work recurred when working with their patients.
He further mentioned that the conference is held by the ECSA health community and it involves the Ministry of Health, all the partners of the Ministry of Health and Nursing Association of Lesotho, as it is about connecting with health professionals, sharing knowledge and elevating healthcare quality in the country.
