EMPOWERED ADVOCATES RETURN FROM U.S. PROGRAM READY TO COMBAT HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Maseru, Mar. 10 –  Lesotho warmly welcomed back Ms. Lechako Moketetsa and Ms. Nthatisi Thabane, Refugee and Migrants Liaison Officers at the Ministry of Home Affairs  who recently completed the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States, focusing on Trafficking in Persons: Prevention and Mitigation. 

With a wealth of insights gained from their journey, they are eager to implement effective strategies to combat human trafficking in Lesotho.

During their enriching program, Ms Moketetsa and Ms Thabane explored crucial topics such as forced labour, commercial sex trafficking, U.S. legislation, victim protection, and the importance of international collaboration. . .
