FARMERS HONE SKILLS  ON POULTRY KEEPING

Berea, Feb 05 — In a bid to enhance quality of chicken products and a sustainable value chain, at least 26 farmers from different parts of the country are currently attending a weeklong training on poultry and layers keeping project hosted by TKM Agricultural Solutions at Mineworkers, Sekamaneng.

According to the TKM Agricultural Solutions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Ts’iu Malefane the training is aimed at equipping poultry farmers with all necessary skills which can enable their farms to be productive and sustainable.

Mr. Malefane said lack of job opportunities has forced many people to tap into income generating projects like poultry and layer keeping, but in most cases such projects fail to flourish only because they lack necessary skills and resources to promote a sustainable growth of their projects, hence they saw a need to equip them with skills. . .
