Maseru, Apr.10— Deputy Director at the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) says the government’s policy of 50 percent loan repayment still stands.
Mr. Thabo Ntoi said this on Wednesday in an interview where he said students who have been sponsored in undergraduate studies have to repay the 50 percent of the loan to continue their studies.
He explained that though in 2021 the then Minister of Planning introduced suspension of the 50 percent loan repayment, that was not legal as there is not even a document which supported it emphasising that has never been implemented therefore students are still expected to repay the 50 percent of their loans before securing sponsorship to further their studies…
