Maseru, Oct.11–The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations successfully hosted the Lesotho Diaspora Trade and Investment Forum with the aim of advancing economic diplomacy by harnessing the human and financial capital of Basotho in the diaspora for national development.
The forum whose Theme: “Taking 𝐿𝑒𝑠𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑜 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 𝑇ℎ𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 ”was held in Midrand South Africa.
It brought together over 180 diaspora business professionals, development partners, trade attachés, chambers of commerce, and representatives from key institutions to explore how diaspora engagement can unlock investment and job creation in Lesotho.
