Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 23 — Today marks the end of a week-long study tour for Grazing Associations (GA) representatives and community leaders in Sehlabathebe held by the Ministry of Environment Forestry (MoEF) through its Regeneration of Livelihoods and Landscapes (ROLL) project.
Speaking to the Agency, ROLL Project Field Officer (PFO) Mr. Bokang Shakhane said the tour is meant to encourage stakeholders to voluntarily manage natural resources sustainably and its linkages to a well managed environment.
“We want them to see through our successful projects that it is doable. We want to change the current status of vulnerability in creation of resilient communities even beyond the project’s life,” he said.
From next week, community leaders are expected to hold public gatherings in relation to this tour.
