Mohale’s Hoek, Sept.16-The National Identity and Civil Registry’s (NICR) District Manager Reverend, Advocate Matekoa Sebapalo says an Identity Document does not only serve as recognition by one’s country, but also provides legal protection from any form of abuse or threat.
Speaking during the International Identity Day commemoration, the latter emphasised the significance of possessing an ID by asserting that an individual without the document is considered non-existent, as it is currently the only document citizens provide when seeking services, noting it offers one an assurance of being included when the country makes developments, noting the day is being is commemorated under the theme, ”My ID my Umbrella”…MM/BM
