Qacha’s Nek, June.20 — Maternal mortality remains a key issue affecting women of reproductive age across Lesotho.
Reports show that the current maternal mortality rate for Lesotho is 566/100 000 live births, which is categorized as very high and is above the regional average of 545/100 000 live births.
To address the maternal and neonatal mortalities in Qacha’s Nek, Lebakeng, Partners-In-Health (PIH) supported the Ministry of Health (MoH) with a 32-bed capacity waiting mother’s home building which was officially opened by the Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane on Thursday. . .
