JOURNALISM STUDENTS FAIL TO GRADUATE

Maseru, Sept.22–After spending three years in lecture rooms at the National University of Lesotho (NUL) in the Bachelor of Journalism & Media Studies (BJMS) under the Faculty of Humanities, five students failed to get conferment on  Monday due to what one would call negligence.

The BJMS was introduced in 2022 academic year with only seven students enrolling but after a year one dropped out and six were continuing with the programme until today when only one Molula Mofosi got conferred.

The enrolment started from second year as the students had previously obtained their Diploma in Mass Communication from Institute of Extra Mural Studies (IEMS).

The five students could not graduate as they had not officially registered for the third and fourth years despite attending lectures and sitting for examinations in the said years…
