JOURNALISTS APPLAUDED FOR PLEDGING TO ROOT OUT HARASSMENT

BOTSWANA – – Media Parity Project participants have been applauded for pledging to root out all forms of harassment in their different workplaces.

This was highlighted by the Botswana French Embassy Corporation and Communication Officer  Ms. Elise Durand at the end of a five-day workshop on Harassment Prevention and Positive Masculinity funded by the Embassy which ended on Friday, aimed at capacitating the participants on harassment prevention and positive masculinity.

On behalf of the French Ambassador to Botswana, Ms Durand said the embassy will continue to support the Journalists to undertake their work effectively for the benefit of the community.

The Facilitator at the training Ms. Pamela Dube emphasized that participants should take action in implementation of procedures, provide support for the harassers to be held accountable and promote measures of ending harassment of all forms. . . .
