KAMOLI DID NOTHING TO STOP ARRESTS, TORTURE-WITNESS

Maseru, Jul.23—-Retired Major General Poqa Motoa  says in 2015, Former Army Commander Lieutenant General Tlali Kamoli did nothing about the arrests and torture on soldiers suspected of mutiny.

This he said on Tuesday while under cross-examination in the ongoing bombings trial before the High Court.

He stated that although the arrests began on May 14 and Kamoli who is one of the accused in the matter, came back to work on May 26, he (the witness) was arrested and tortured in June 2015 and Kamoli did nothing to stop that. He pointed out that more arrests and torture were made afterwards. He emphasised that the arrests and torture continued under the command of Kamoli. He insisted that Kamoli cannot say that he does not know anything about that.
