Maseru, June 16 — The Chairperson of Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) Board Mr. Thabo Khasipe pledged to ensure enactment of the 2021 policy within a month.
He made a pledge before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) during its sitting on Monday, following the committee’s concern over high acting allowances given to some LEC management.
Mr. Khasipe said the acting allowances given to some LEC management was aligned with the 2015 policy not that of 2021, which was the review of the former, indicating that the 2021 policy was never approved thus was only a practice. . . .
