LACK OF FUNDS HINDER PLANS

Maseru, Feb. 04 — The National University of Lesotho (NUL) says construction of students residence and business complex has always been their plans but lack of funds has hindered that.

This is according to the university Director of Communications and Marketing, Mrs. ‘Mamosa Moteetee who said that their plan could not be a reality due to lack of funds.

She said that to achieve this, they need the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and therefore called on all who are interested to come forward so that they could have a fruitful partnership.

Earlier the street vendors operating along the university fence had indicated that they had proposed to NUL to construct stalls inside the campus to accommodate them at a certain fee.

Meanwhile, the vendors have been given three months to vacate the road reserve from St. Michael’s to Ha Mafefooane.
