LDF CONTINGENT PROVIDES HEALTH SERVICES

Maseru, Jan. 14 — The Lesotho Contingent in Mozambique under the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) deployed in the Nangade District of Cabo Delgado Province through the Contingent’s Health Services led by Major (Maj) Thabo Moleleki provided health check-ups to 180 patients in Nangade.

According to the LDF Public Affairs Office (PAO) among the 180 people who got medical assistance, 100 were adults, 30 were youth and 50 were children. The Lesotho Contingent offered to help because Nangade Hospital is faced with the challenges of being unable to accommodate all patients in the Nangade district.

PAO states that Maj. Moleleki said this initiative is a huge sacrifice and a challenge because the medication they prescribed to Nangade patients was meant to be used by the Lesotho Contingent, but they were obliged to provide services to patients who include children and babies.
