LENAFU EDUCATES FARMERS ABOUT AGRIBUSINESS

Mohale’s Hoek, March-07  — Lesotho National Farmers Union (LENAFU) in collaboration with World Food Programme, Adaptation Fund and IACOV held a workshop to educate farmers associations about the concept of agribusiness.  

Mr. Lehlohonolo Khomo, a facilitator from LENAFU said agribusiness is broad but the main objective was to educate farmers about marketing of their produce, costing, pricing, writing a proper business plan, basic bookkeeping, entrepreneurship skills and good agricultural practices.

The latter said farmers must understand that it is very important to understand the business side of farming as the two-go hand in hand for the growth of their businesses. . .
