Maseru, March.17 — The Kingdom of Lesotho is having representation at the 69th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 69), which started from March 10-21, 2025, at the UN Headquarters in New York.
This meeting focused on reviewing and appraising the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform of Action, 30 years since it was adopted.
When delivering the statement, at the CSW Plenary, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Lesotho to the United States Mr. Matete ‘Nena emphasized Lesotho’s commitment to gender equality as a fundamental human right.
He also pointed out that Lesotho has made some commendable strides in areas such as education, the fight against Gender Based Violence and capacitating women with entrepreneurial skills. . . .
