Maseru, March. 07 — The Linare Football Club received its cash back prize worth M200 000 for its votes for the SAM Matekane People’s Cup tournament qualifiers.
This comes after the team reached over 200 000 for the tournaments voting results as at March,06 at 12 midnight.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Wednesday, the Public Relations officer of Linare Football Club Ms. ‘Mathlohonolofatso Lebesa said that this prize came in as a surprise which will be so worthy to the team.
She stated that the team spends close to M3 million per annum for its administration therefore this prize will come in helpful.
She however mentioned that their hope is to maintain the position of the top voted team till the end of the competition adding that by the end of the competition they will be able to bring back the trophy for the tournament.
Ms. Lebesa also passed appreciation to the supporters of the team for the campaigns and collaborations they have put together to the success of the prize.
The top qualifiers in the draw included Matlama Football Club standing at 206 640, LMPS FC at 127 814,Lioli FC at 75 508.
The competition for the final qualifiers is expected to close on Friday.
