LMPS ADDRESSES CONGREGATION ON GANGSTERISM

Maseru, July 22 — Gangsterism continues to affect the society despite efforts to tackle this type of crime.

This came out during Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) entourage visit at St. Mary and St. James Anglican Church Cathedral in Maseru on Sunday where issues of gangsterism as well as human trafficking were deliberated upon.

Addressing the congregation, Sergeant Kamoho Mahanetsa warned the church that in all areas including within the church, some have joined gangs and end up killing one another whenever they feel that others are taking over their positions in this ranks.

He warned the society against categories that include number 28 which he said are gangs who kill and rape while number 26 are those who steal money and would do anything for it.
