LMPS PLEADS WITH NATION TO RETURN ILLEGAL FIREARMS 

Maseru,Sep.05—The Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) has made a call to the general public to surrender illegal firearms.

According to Inspector ‘Mareabetsoe Mofoka of the LMPS Public Relations Officer, the initiative of voluntarily handing over illegal firearms , ammunition and other unlawful weapons to the authorities does not come with any arrests and does not need anyone to reveal their identity.

She mentioned that with such initiatives, the government will be able to get rid of illegal weapons which are used on matters that cause instability, tempering the nation’s safety and peace.

Inspector Mofoka further said anyone who fails to return their firearms will face legal consequences…
