LMS WARN THE NATION ABOUT WEATHER

Maseru, April 15 — As the rain is showering in the country, Lesotho Meteorological Service (LMS) on Tuesday this week warned the nation to brace for severe thunderstorms, scattered rain as well as snowfall.

LMS has issued an alert warning the nation about the expected disruptive snowfall that is predicted to fall during the night over the north-eastern highlands as well as scattered rain and thunderstorms that is expected to be heavy in the meantime over the western parts of the country. 

‘’Mostly cloudy and there is a likelihood of 60% of scattered to widespread rain and thundershowers. With light to moderate north westerly wind,’’ noted by LMS.

Meanwhile, Disaster Management Authority (DMA) Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ms. Mahlape Koali when speaking to the Agency urged the nation to take precautions during this hazardous weather, staying more vigilant at all times. MM/TL
