LRMIS STAFF, POLICE DISCUSS STOCK THEFT ACT, REGULATIONS

Mokhotlong July 19 — Livestock Registration and Marking Information System (LRMIS) officers together with police from the stock theft unit in Mokhotlong have been discussing the Stocktheft Act 2000 and Stock Theft Regulations of 2004 in the district since Wednesday.

Discussions are mainly intended to facilitate a common understanding of the two frameworks so as both the police and LRMIS employees can effectively implement them to curb stock theft in the district.

This was said by the Acting District Manager for LRMIS Mokhotlong Mr. Ts’epo Phako in an interview.
