Maseru, July. 10 – The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Dr Retsilisitsoe Matlanyane has official launched the Lesotho Voluntary National Review (VNR) report in Maseru on Thursday.
During the media briefing, Dr. Matlanyane said they managed to put together a report on which they can reflect and make self-introspection of their work with United Nations (UN) especially in this year when UN is 8 years-old working with Lesotho to strive development.
She further noted that 2025 also marks 5 years towards the end of the time that was set for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to be achieved, this means is significant time to review what has been achieved and what remains.
She indicated that this year also there are more challenges in a global space Geo Politics, Global Economic conditions, climate changes, technological advancements.
The event was graced by the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports, Art, Culture and Social Development Mr. Pitso Lesaoana, Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology Ms Nthati Moorosi among them. . .
