MINISTER COMMUNICATIONS URGES INVESTMENT IN YOUTH

Maseru, July 25 — The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ms. Nthati Moorosi has emphasised the urgent need to nurture and empower young leaders as a critical step toward national development.

Speaking at the Children’s Parliament, Minister Moorosi stressed that grooming young leaders is in the best interest of the country as it cultivates a generation of foresighted individuals who are informed and actively engaged from an early age.

“We must create platforms where children and youth can participate meaningfully in matters that concern them, even the smallest decisions. This will help us understand what truly works best for them,” she said.

Highlighting the importance of inclusion, she also advocated for young people’s involvement in key national processes such as budget planning and allocation, saying their perspectives are crucial in shaping policies that directly affect their future.
