Maseru, Nov. 24 — The Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. Tséliso Mokhosi is adamant Parliamentarians must always be willing to be corrected, be open to new ideas as such are acts of humility when serving.
“Without us being corrected where we have gone wrong, our efforts to serve in the best interests of voters would be futile”.
This is the Minister’s perception towards the recently released Advision Lesotho, otherwise the Afrobarometer survey that has seen 66 percent of Basotho respondents painting Parliamentarians serving their own interests rather than those of voters while also implying they are corrupt.
Therefore, Mr. Mokhosi explained that a lot of negativity has been portrayed in the survey conducted in March 2024, indicating even so this report must be seen as a mirror that would challenge Parliamentarians to tighten up in their quest to enhance the principles of democracy.
