Maseru, Oct 31 – In times of crisis, Lesotho’s Disaster Response Management Authority (DMA) receives critical support from government ministries and key stakeholders enhancing its capacity to respond effectively to natural diseases and emergencies.
According to Mrs. ‘Mampili Mahao, from Social Development, Community Development mentioned that as the department, they help vulnerable people who are affected by poverty.
She stated that they provide temporary food packages for their beneficiaries and others in the cases of hunger.
“Our department helps pay fees for vulnerable students that were selected by village councillors and chiefs,” she said. . .
