Maseru, Apr. 19– Ministry of Health allays fears on anti retroviral(ARV) supply misinformation.
According to a press statement from the Ministry, it is not true that Lesotho is running out of ARVs due to aid cuts by the government of the United States (US).
The statement reads, “It has come to the attention of the Ministry of Health, of the ongoing misinformation that have been circulated on various media platforms both in Lesotho and beyond, that state that countries including Lesotho , could soon run out of life-saving, HIV treatment, antiretroviral therapy (ART), in addition health facilities may shut down due to the recent US Government executive orders to pause or terminate funding for HIV programs in Lesotho and globally…PM/BM
