Maseru, Feb. 13 — The Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development is on a series of campaigns aimed at educating the society about Persons with Disability Equity Act, 2021.
This with the intention to ensure promotion of inclusion and address barriers that exclude persons with disabilities from enjoying their human rights, Ms. Relebohile Molapo, Community Based Rehabilitation Manager has said.
Amongst others, she highlighted the media as key stakeholders that can help in reducing impairment and barriers so as to tackle disability hence the recent media training.
According to Advocate Molapo, these campaigns would ensure various stakeholders and the society at large are aware and familiarize themselves with the said Act in order to meet persons with disability half way.
