MOJAJE APPLAUDS THE DHMT

Mohale’s Hoek, Aug.25-Chieftainess ‘Mamosa Mojaje from Matsatseng says the District Health Management Team has played a major role is bringing services to the community.

Mrs. Mojaje stated this during DHMT’s visit to the village in commemoration of the National Oral Health Week, by noting that the main challenge facing communities is unavailability of taxi fare for them to go to government hospital noting she wishes these services could be brought to the villages more often.

On the other hand, DHMT’s Dental Therapist Mrs. Happiness Manyonga highlighted the significance of Oral Health from an early age, to avoid gum disease and others such as bad breath.

About twenty-five villagers mostly women, were educated about the relationship between oral and mental health conditions, as studies show that both maybe correlated, and all were given tooth paste and brushes while ten under-five children also received track pants, and pair of socks, and one on one counselling sessions were offered to those who needed them…MM/BM
