Maseru, July 11 — With different political parties electing nominees to contest in the September Local Government elections, different nominees say working together with the communities will be of great importance.
Speaking in an interview, Mr. Sipho Ramalitse an independent nominee under Mafefooane Electoral Division said that having worked at Ha Mafefooane Area Chief’s office for many years, he has realized that for their Councillors to be successful in their work, they have to work together with the public and chiefs.
He said that since it is his first time to contest for Councillor position, he cannot make any promises but he together with his Chief and the community will work hard to ensure that passages between houses or yards are open and every person staying within the radius of site allocated to them can move freely.
