Maseru, Jan. 31 — The peaceful march, which was supposed to take place on Friday by the National University of Lesotho students, has been postponed to February 07.
According to Students Representative Council President Mr. Tumo Tsanyane, this is due to delay in getting the permit from the Police as they received it on Thursday afternoon.
However, he stressed that the change of dates shall not deter them, instead it will make them stronger.
He disclosed that the University Senate has agreed to suspend classes on the day of the march, adding that they engaged in lengthy discussions with the Senate thus guaranteeing safety and security of students in Maseru.
“First aid will also be presently full on the ground” he stressed.
Mr. Tsanyane earlier disclosed that the march will be different from others as they are dealing with issues that can help bring about development in the country. . .
