EDUCATION OFFICE, PRINCIPALS STRATEGIZE WAYS TO IMPROVE PASS RATE


Berea, Jan 31—The Department of Education and Training Berea in collaboration with over
40 post primary principals were on Thursday engaged into a daylong meeting at St. Agnes
high school with the aim to self-introspect and map the way forward for the improved pass
rate.
This comes after Berea district obtained the eighth position in the Lesotho General Certificate
of Secondary Education (LGCSE) 2024 results with a pass rate of 59.3 percent.
Addressing the Principals, District Education Manager Mrs. Malijane Selikane said
regardless of being in the lower position, the district has performed to its best. 
When outlining their annual plan, Mrs. Selikane emphasized the need to continue conducting
the 7:00am compulsory morning studies at their schools with the aim to pave the way for the
outstanding results…
