Maseru, Jan. 31 — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations as well as the Russian Embassy to South Africa know nothing about sponsorships for Basotho children who are set to study in Russia.
This is according to the press release from the Ministry, following reports that the United African Transformation (UAT) party held a press conference a few days ago promising sponsorships to 30 Basotho children to study in Russian higher learning institutions.
It states that after research between the Russian Embassy and the Ministry, they suspect that the UAT party made arrangements with independent and private sponsors, indicating that it would be in the benefit of parents and their children to find full details from such institutions and sponsorships so that the Ministry could ensure their safety…
