OVER 5000 JOBS TO BE CREATED

Maseru, Feb. 22 — The Finance Minister’s budget speech has brought hope to thousands of Basotho who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The speech specifies a completion of 16 and 7 factory shells will result in the employment of over 5000 people in factories.

The Minister’s announcement comes as a relief to those who have been struggling to make ends meet following closure of numerous factories in the aftermath of the pandemic.

In an interview with the Agency, the Deputy General Secretary of National  Clothing Textile and Allied Workers Union Mr, Tsepang Makakole, known as ‘’Nyakanyaka’’ said the issue of job creation by the current government is long overdue, and what they see is the opposite of that as many factories had been closed. . .
