PASTURES BURNING, MAIN CHALLENGE AT NQECHANE – TS’OEU

Mokhotlong Aug.29 — Burning of pastures is one of the major challenges experienced at Nqechane within the Ha Meno area in Mokhotlong district.

Chief Tumisang Ts’oeu of Nqechane said this when interviewed about challenges affecting the community in the village adding that the issue of destroying pastures with fire is on top of the challenges which needs to be addressed.

He said in a month there were four incidents of burned pastures with the recent one that happened on the night of last week Sunday and urged whoever is involved in the act to stop immediately as burning of grass affects the ecosystem. . .
