Maseru, Nov. 12 — Advocate Salemane Phafane remains President of the Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) following the weekend elections.
Phafane was elected President of the sixth Congress of the football association, with Mr. Matloko Mafantiri as his Vice-President.
Mr. Tebalo Mpiti was elected second Vice-President.
Messrs . Ts’eliso Ramatla, Ntainyane Marabe, Thabo Sephoko, Katiso Lebitsa and Israel Mpiko were elected members of the Congress.
LEFA is internationally recognized by the international football fraternity.
The association is an affiliate of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) internationally and the Lesotho Sport and Recreation Commission (LSRC) and the Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC).
Phafane was also appointed to serve as a member of FIFA disciplinary committee during the 71st election Congress held at the head office in Zurich, Switzerland.
