PHAT’SOANE APPOINTED TO OFFICIATE IN THIRD AFCON FINALS

Maseru, Jan 02 — The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) told the football fraternity that the Confederations of African Football (CAF) has listed prominent assistant referee, Mr. Souru Phats’oane among match officials appointed to officiate at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which gets underway in Ivory Coast on January 13th to February 11th.

LeFA Media Officer, Mr. Mikia Kalati said this will be Phats’oane’s third Afcon tournament in a row having made his debut at the 2019 edition hosted by Egypt.

He said the Ts’enola born has inked his name in the history books of the beautiful game not only in Lesotho but across the continent as he has officiated finals of all CAF major competitions which started with the Confederations Cup in 2021 and was followed by finals of the CAF Champions League and the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations respectively. . .
