Maseru, Oct. 25 — The Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane has launched a youth development program ‘Sebabatso’ at the ‘Manthabiseng convention centre in Maseru on Wednesday.
In his remarks, Mr. Matekane said that with this initiative Lesotho acknowledges the challenges that youth are facing in terms of unemployment, crime and substance abuse and is willing to take a step towards tackling such.
He said that this initiative also comes in as a way of turning around the lives of youth through supporting all their development projects.
The Prime Minister further mentioned that it is important for countries to empower their youth as the success of youth entrepreneurs becomes an economic impact even in communities.
He added that initiatives towards sustainable and innovative ideas that are aimed at youth development come highly recommended.
