Mokhotlong Dec. 05 — As the festive season has started, police officers will be deployed in various villages and within the town and be seen in larger numbers to intensify efforts to prevent crime at this time.
Senior Superintendent Leabua Shale of the Mokhotlong Police Station said deployment will begin from Monday next week to January 10 in 2025.
He said police satellites will be erected in various villages identified as the hotspots and they are Tlhanyaku, Sanqebethu, Ha Moeketsane, Linakaneng, Matsoku, Khubelu, Molikaliko and Pae-la-Itlhatsoa.
Senior Superintendent Shale urged members of the public to join the police in the fight against crime in their respective villages during the festive period and beyond.
