POOR SANITATION CHALLENGES GROWTH OF CHILDREN

Maseru,Feb.22–Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) donated 23 toilets to St. Bernadette Primary School to address issues of clean sanitation.

Speaking at the event, Principal of St. Bernadette Primary School Sister ‘Malisebo Lebina Basic sanitation is necessary for children’s health, safety and development.

.Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Thursday, Sister Lebina said without access to sanitation facilities and  hygienic practices such  handwashing with soap, children may get sick.

She stated that lack of sanitation can impact their development potential.

Sister Lebina however rebuked speculations which were being about a student who was reported to have fallen in one of the toilets in their school saying that despite the dilapidation of their toilets there is no such case that has happened.
