POULTRY FARMERS UNDERGO TRAINING

Berea, Aug 26 — Aleast 58 poultry farmers are undergoing a week-long capacity building training on sustainable ways of keeping chickens at Thakaneng Youth Resource Centre, Teyateyaneng hosted by TKM Agricultural Solutions.

According to TKM Agricultural Solutions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Malefane Ts’iu, the training is intended for poultry farmers who keep both layers and broilers with the aim to help them to improve their farming methods and income generation strategies.

Mr. Ts’iu said most farmers venture into poultry farming projects with the perspective of making a quick cash and with that mindset many of them fail to prosper, therefore the training is aimed at helping them to develop knowledge about chickens, proper way to manage them and how to develop a safe shelter for them. . . .
