PUBLIC SERVICE INTERACTS WITH HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGERS

Mohale’s Hoek, Sept. 04 — The Ministry of Public Service has held a meeting with Human Resource Managers and some Heads of  Departments, with the purpose of demarcating areas eligible for hardship allowances in different field stations.

Mr. Khabo Phahlaka from the Department of Remuneration and Benefits, stated that there are some identified areas in the district categorized under hard to reach areas and the initiative is meant to motivate officers who are stationed in those areas.

He further indicated that the Ministry is also working towards  resuscitating other benefits like subsistence local, noting some places are only reached using horses, which participants established that hiring one costs M400.00 for 24 hours.

On the other hand, Ministry of Social Development, District Manager Mrs. ‘Mampho Manamolela noted that there are some places in Qhoasing and Senqunyane where her office is unable to deliver most needed services because the areas are the hardest to reach.
