Qacha’s Nek, Sep.01 — Melele has today warmly welcomed Mr. Tebello Ramakongoana of Ha-Mohlapiso for his outstanding performance in the 2023 World Athletics Championship.
This follows his qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after finishing in 4th position in record time of 2:09:57 in a 42.2 kilometres game held in Budapest on August 27.
He said it was a difficult game due to hot weather.
“My finish time was not the one that was needed. But the position helped me as by virtue of my top 5 finish, I qualified regardless of how fast or slow I was,” he said.
