Maseru, Feb.09 — Ribaneng Community has requested for rehabilitation of the partially collapse bridge across Makhaleng river from Ribaneng to Ha Lebona.
The bridge collapsed in January 2025 this raised immense concern as movement has been restricted.
The community resolved to use the stone for crossing the river, which becomes difficult due to persistent rainfalls, adding that the stone drifted away further restricting the movement.
Chief Griffith Api of Ribaneng Ha Lebona, speaking, to the Agency said that immediately after the incident occurred, he notified Member of Parliament, Community Councillor and The Disaster Management Authority (DMA).
