Maseru, Sep.16—Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) held a two-day capacity building workshop for local journalists on effective business, economic, financial and development reporting in Maseru on Tuesday.
The facilitator of this event Mr. Mzimkhulu Sithetho said this workshop is aimed at building capacity on effective reporting on business, economic, financial and taxation issues.
He said it is also to reinforce business and economic reporting within newsrooms by developing a cadre of business reporters who are assigned to focus on business and economic beats.
He added that it is also to facilitate the media’s catalytic role in the promotion of the economic growth and development of their country through effective financial, business, and economic reporting.
While officially opening this workshop on behalf of the Commissioner General of RSL, the Head of Marketing and Client Education Mr. Letsatsi Sepiriti said this workshop is intended to improve reporting knowledge and skills to reporters on issues related to finances, economics as well as taxation…NT/BM
