MASERU – Driving economic change and environmental change is one of the topics discussed at the ongoing 2025 ‘SEBABATSO’ youth conference currently going on in Maseru.
The conference coinciding with STEAM – Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics week explored in a roundtable how Lesotho can drive economic transformation through environmental stewardship and economic change.
On behalf of UNDP, Mr. Limomane Peshoane, a Meteorologist mentioned that the agency has found it worthy to protect the environment by supporting youth projects under STEAM otherwise renewable energy.
He added that so far, they have made sure that at least 40 families have access to energy, adding they also work with schools.
Therefore, he mentioned that opportunities that include STEAM and SEBABATSO provide solutions to driving economic change and environmental sustainability…AM/BM
